The fifteenth minute by Sarina Bowen (#5 Ivy league series)

The Fifteenth Minute by Sarina Bowen is the 5th Book in the Ivy League Series, and my Favorite. By the 5th book in a series the characters are developed you have fall in love with them and you have your chosen few who you want more of. 

Lianne is a former child star trying to make her own way in the "real" world. Deciding to go to college far away from Hollywood and her manager. But, fitting in for this self proclaimed Nerd is hard. She gets out of the Frosh court and is housed in a single next to Bella, Harkness colleges hockey team manager. Bella is the perfect person to drag Lianne out of her hiddy hole. 

Lianne meets DJ or Danny, little brother to Levi Harkness' hockey star. DJ is the Hockey rinks Disk Jockey and he and Lianne connect over their shared dorkness.  DJ is in the middle of a scandal and he doesn't think he can have Lianne. But fate and attraction are hard to fight. 

Taking on a social commentary that most don't want to discuss and shedding light on a side of the story we rarely hear. I like how Sarina takes a subject that is relevant to all of us and makes us think.........

I really liked this book, and the series has so many possibilities with all the Kincaid brothers and Adam ( lily's best friend).  Looking forward to more from Apryl

Mike Graham and John Rikker have been friends since they were in Junior High, and from that friendship, a relationship started to grow. They would steel kisses in Graham's basement between games on the Xbox. But, very careful not to get caught until one day when Rikker got his licence and they drove to a comic book shop across town. Two lovers alone in a car, they started to kiss. When caught they were chased by a group of idiots and Rikker was beaten badly, Graham made it home and never saw Rikker again.
Graham was traumatized by the whole experience he was convinced he was "sick" and vowed never to let others see him that way again.
Then five years later John Rikker waked into the locker room at Harkness and Graham freaked out, worried that John was going to "OUT" him. Graham had worked so hard to appear straight. Every day was a struggle to not let the cracks show. Can Graham and Rikker find their way, even if it's only back to the true friendship they shared. Or will Graham's need to be just Mike Graham not the Gay Hockey Player Mike Graham get in the way?
While TV news camera's and reporters line the hockey rink trying to get the story out of Rikker as to why he was transferred mid-season to Harkness, which is unheard of.

Graham:
"Right then, a little light went on inside my thick head. I already knew that my refusal to come out had hurt Rikker. But until that moment, I don't think I ever understood that it had hurt me, too. Because the cost of avoiding unfriendly eyes wasn't nearly as great as the cost of forgoing even one if Rikker's hugs."

Bridger is my favorite character so far in the Ivy years series, He is  sexy, bad boy with a heart. Caring for his little sister since he was 15 years old when his dad passed and his mother take to drugs to cope. He seems to do it all. But not wanting to ask for help.
Scarlet formally Shannon, is running from a her family and the mess her father is involved in. She legally changes her name and tries to escape to Harkness College. Hockey is so far from either on of their minds as they both try to hid their secrets from everyone. Some problems you just can't out skate............

Bridger:
"There's a saying. If you want God to laugh, tell him your plans."

NOVELLA
Blonde Date  (Ivy years #2.5)

We meet Andy and Kate (K1) as Scarlet's and Bridger's floor mates. Kate invites Andy to be her date to a Sorority charity party. Kate is embarrassed about something that happen to her and doesn't want to go alone.
Andy has had his eye on Kate since he first saw her walk into Art History class, but thought he had no chance with the gorgeous Kate as she seemed to be surrounded by the Football team.
Good Guy Andy is a breath of fresh air for Kate and helps her get through the embarrassment she feels by playing fun game. The awkwardness seems to fade as Kate gains confidence, sharing looks and laughs at, he shall not be named expense.

Great Read, easy flow and as always keeps you wanting more from the Ivy Years.
